Microsoft Outlook 97 SR-1 (or higher)

You need to have at least Service Release 1 installed for Office 97. Previous versions will not work with our network.

  1. From the Outlook Tools menu, choose Services
  2. Select the Services tab.
  3. If Internet E-mail does not appear, continue with step 4.
    If Internet E-mail appears in the list of services:
    1. Highlight Internet E-mail.
    2. Click the Properties button.
    3. Go to step 7.



       
    4. Click the Add button.
    5. In the Add Service to Profile window, highlight Internet E-mail.



       
    6. Click OK.
    7. In the Mail Account Properties window, select the General tab.
    8. In the Mail Account box, type a name for your hookupz.com mailbox (this can be anything you want).
    9. In the Name box, type your name.
    10. In the E-mail Address box, type your hookupz.com e-mail address (e.g., username@hookupz.com).



       
    11. Select the Servers tab.
    12. In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) box, type smtp.hookupz.com.
    13. In the Incoming Mail (POP3) box, type pop.hookupz.com.
    14. For Login Information, select Logon using.
    15. In the Account Name box, type your username (note that this is case-sensitive).
    16. In the Password box, type your e-mail password (also case-sensitive).



       
    17. Select the Connection tab.
    18. For Connection, select I use a modem to access my e-mail.
    19. For Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection, select your hookupz.com connection.



       
    20. Click the OK button.
    21. If you have added the Internet Mail service, you will be prompted to restart Outlook.



       
    22. Click the OK button.
    23. Click OK again to dismiss the Services window.
    24. Quit and restart Outlook if necessary.
